20’ shipping container rental and 40’ shipping container rental are our most popular products. The most popular use is for long term on site storage at the customer’s site. We maintain a small fleet of ground level 20’ office containers for job sites. We offer customized solutions based on customer needs like interim storage at our site, relocation of containers and self storage. We also offer a separate inventory of one-trip and used 20’ and 40’ shipping containers for sale, and regularly source units like 40’ High Cube and 20’ Open Side, among others.

We are local, family owned and operated, and understand the unique requirements of delivering in the beautiful, but often challenging, landscape of Vermont, New Hampshire and Western Massachusetts. Our rental rates start at $129 per month, and transportation fees begin at $120 each way. Sale prices fluctuate based on the market, but we find that a range of $2500 – $6000 is inclusive of most types of containers and conditions.  

What are the dimensions of a 20’ container?

• Our 20’ portable steel shipping containers and fixed site storage containers are 8’ Wide x 20’ L x 8.5’ High. If you have equipment, vehicles, or oversized goods that will be stored in the container, please note the smallest dimensions are the door opening. 

How much furniture can you fit in a 20ft container? 

• The contents of a 2-3 bedroom house (furniture, televisions, beds, boxes, etc.) will normally fit inside a 20’ container. 

How much space do you need to make a delivery for a 20’ container? 

• The truck requires a minimum of 65’ in a straight line in order to place your storage container, but up to 85’ may be required  – 20’ of that distance is where your container will be set, the rest is for our tow truck or tilt trailer to extend out in front of the container. If you have questions or concerns about your delivery site and whether a container will fit, give us a call! 

What kind of truck delivers the 20’ container? 

• Our 20’ storage containers are delivered either on a rollback tow truck – the same kind that would pick up your vehicle – or with our pickup truck and 22’ tilt trailer. 

What kind of truck delivers the 40’ container? 

• The container is delivered with our pickup truck and 43’ tilt trailer. 

Is there any site preparation necessary for my storage container delivery? 

• We need a surface that is fairly level, smooth and firm. We prefer to deliver on pavement, asphalt, cement or gravel, but we can deliver on hard-packed dirt or grass, so long as it is not soft or wet. If ground locations at your location are wet or soft, we will reschedule your delivery unless an alternate dry location can be identified. 

Do I need to be there on the day of delivery? 

• We highly recommend that you or a representative are present during the delivery to be sure the container is set correctly to meet your needs. We understand that may not always be possible – if you are not able to meet our delivery driver, the location will need to be well marked and we encourage you to speak directly with our driver by phone on the day of delivery to discuss placement. 

Do you deliver in the winter? 

• Yes! We provide all transport services year round. In the case of serious inclement weather, your delivery or transport service may be rescheduled. 

Can you relocate my container once I pack it? 

• Yes! We can move up to 3,000 pounds of household contents from your current home or delivery site, to your new location – so long as it is in our service area in Vermont, New Hampshire or Western Massachusetts. We can also move your full container back to our Brattleboro, Vermont yard for interim storage until you decide on your next destination. 

What can I store in my portable storage container? 

• Almost anything! Most customers use our containers for storage of household goods, like furniture, books, home décor and sentimental items. Many businesses use our containers for excess inventory or parts storage. Contractors find them especially useful for jobsite material and tool storage. We do not permit storage of hazardous or explosive materials, anything illegal, and a few other exceptions – your lease contract will have a full list of what not to put in your container. 

Can I stop by to look at a storage container or storage unit before renting? 

• Yes you can make an appointment during normal business hours to view our storage containers, sale inventory or self storage containers in person.
